Working with stone, hand carving in the traditional way using just a hammer and chisel, is my second career after having a family. I opened my own workshop in South Wales in 2015 after training with master letter cutters John Neilson, Tom Perkins and Ieuan Rees. I have also trained with Welsh sculptor Alun Hemming and Marble Workshop Pietrasanta and worked with Abbey Masonry and Restoration Ltd, Crosshands.

I specialise in designing beautiful letters which are hand drawn before being carved into British stones such as limestone, sandstone and of course, Welsh slate.

Letter cutting is highly skilled and requires great care and patience to produce refined, characterful and classic letter forms that enhance any bespoke memorial, plaque or art commision.

Apart from memorials I am often commissioned to create celebratory gifts for births, marriages, anniversaries, big birthdays and gardens.

I have work in private collections in Switzerland, France, Germany, USA, Canada, Scotland, England and Wales. I have shown work at

The Albany Gallery, Cardiff,

Art Central, Barry,

Off the Wall Llandaf, Cardiff,

Oriel Canfas, Cardiff,

The Bath Open, Victoria Art Gallery, Bath,

Studer Fine Art, Presteigne,

Harp Studio, Presteigne,

Penarth Art Fair,

Lettering Arts Trust, Snape Maltings, Suffolk,

Orial Brondanw, Llanfrothen, Gwynedd.
